New Thane Collector to Launch Projects Based on District’s Needs

Thane: Newly appointed Thane District Collector Dr. Shrikrishna Panchal announced that new development schemes will be planned and implemented based on the specific needs of the Thane district. He emphasized the importance of making administration more efficient and transparent.

Dr. Panchal officially took charge on Thursday, succeeding former collector Ashok Shingare. Speaking to the media, he shared his plans and priorities. He said that in Thane district, several important government projects are underway, and more will be launched in the future. Land acquisition for projects will be prioritized, along with a focus on public welfare schemes related to health, women and child development, and improving civic facilities.

He assured that no work will be delayed unnecessarily and promised to maintain transparency in administration. Dr. Panchal also mentioned his previous experience as Collector in Jalna for two years and how that would help him work efficiently in Thane.

Dr. Panchal is a 2016 batch IAS officer and has previously worked in Jalna. He studied at Grant Medical College and JJ Hospital in Mumbai.
