Two Classes in One Room at Patalipada Municipal School!
Thane: The municipal school at Patalipada has over 1,400 students, but due to lack of space, two classes are being taught in a single room. The situation worsened after the school building got damaged in the recent monsoon. BJP MLA Sanjay Kelkar raised the issue with Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar and requested urgent action.
The school offers education from nursery to 10th standard, and with increasing student strength, the old building is no longer sufficient. As a result, students are forced to share classrooms, with two different classes being taught in one room.
To address this, BJP’s Mahesh Buke and his team inspected the location along with municipal officials. MLA Kelkar submitted a request to CM Eknath Shinde and the Education Department for a new school building on an available nearby plot. He stressed the need to provide students with better learning facilities and also submitted the request to the District Collector and other key officials.
A decision on constructing a new building is expected soon from the state government.
