Massive Tree Falls in Thane’s Savarkarnagar, Auto Damaged but No Injuries

A major accident was narrowly avoided in Thane’s Savarkarnagar area when a large tree suddenly fell on Sunday morning. The tree collapsed onto a parked auto-rickshaw, causing significant damage but, fortunately, no injuries.

According to local officials, the tree, which was already in a weakened state, gave way during the morning hours. The incident was reported to the disaster management cell, and a team quickly arrived at the spot. Under the guidance of officer Rakesh Shirke, workers removed the fallen tree and cleared the road.

Residents said the tree had been leaning dangerously for some time, and they had requested authorities to take preventive action. They urged the civic body to conduct regular checks on old and weakened trees to avoid similar incidents.

Thanks to the prompt response of the disaster management team, the situation was brought under control quickly, preventing any harm to people in the busy locality.
