Thane Municipal Corporation to Fill Over 9,000 Posts, Boosting City Services and Jobs

Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has begun its largest recruitment drive in recent years, opening 9,073 vacancies across various departments, including fire services, healthcare, and engineering.

The posts include paramedics, nurses, junior engineers, clerks, drivers, and many other essential roles. In healthcare alone, over 1,500 positions will be filled, addressing long-standing staff shortages. TMC officials say this move will strengthen civic services and ensure better public facilities for the growing city population.

The recruitment will also ease the workload on existing staff, who have been managing multiple responsibilities due to the lack of manpower. Once completed, this hiring will ensure more efficient delivery of services like firefighting, waste management, and public health.

Applications will be invited for both technical and non-technical positions, with categories divided into Class C and D. The selection process will follow government norms, and detailed notifications for engineering posts are already published.

This massive hiring is expected to provide job security for thousands while improving the quality of life for Thane residents.
