Thane to Host Eco-Friendly ‘Ticha Ganpati’ Darshan Contest with Big Prizes

Thane is set to celebrate Ganeshotsav in an eco-friendly way this year with the ‘Ticha Ganpati’ Ganesh Darshan competition, organised by Dr. Rajesh Madavi Foundation in association with Lokmat. The event aims to promote environmental awareness, cultural pride, and community participation.

The competition will be held in two categories — Public Mandals and Household Ganpati. Attractive prizes will be awarded, with the top winner in the household category receiving ₹9,000, and the first prize in the public category being ₹40,000.

The contest will highlight creativity, use of eco-friendly materials, and social messaging. Judging will take place on August 25. Alongside the competition, there will be special women-focused events, including rangoli and mehendi competitions, to encourage wider community involvement.
