8-Hour Block Planned to Ease Traffic at Gaimukh Ghat.

To resolve the long-standing traffic congestion at Gaimukh Ghat on Ghodbunder Road, the district administration has decided to implement an 8-hour traffic block. The decision comes after Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Guardian Minister Dr. Shrikant Shinde directed urgent action.

This block will help clear the route for ongoing road widening and repair work. It will be conducted in phases, and traffic on Ghodbunder Road will be regulated accordingly. The block is likely to take place on a Friday or Sunday to minimize public inconvenience.

Officials from various departments including traffic police, Thane Municipal Corporation, MSRDC, MMRDA, and local law enforcement will be coordinating this operation.

Special diversions and alternate routes will be arranged for public and emergency vehicles. The district authorities have also ensured that citizens will be notified in advance about the timing and details of the block.

The administration has appealed to the public to cooperate and follow the traffic diversions to help ease congestion and complete the work swiftly.
