8984 Ganesh Idols Immersed in Five DaysEco-Friendly Disposal Ensured.

In Thane Municipal Corporation area, 8984 Ganesh idols were immersed over five days during the Ganesh festival. Out of these, 4811 idols were made of Plaster of Paris (POP), while 4173 were eco-friendly clay idols.

The municipal corporation’s approved Ganesh idol centers received 25 Ganesh idols. Additionally, 62 idols from the visarjan arrangements were disposed of through eco-friendly methods like bio-composting at the municipal corporation’s waste management sites in areas like Kolshet, Kausa, and Ulhasnagar.

The process ensured that the waste generated was managed effectively, and non-biodegradable elements were segregated for further processing.
