Workshop in Thane to Raise Awareness on Thalassemia
To spread awareness about the serious illness Thalassemia, a special one-day workshop has been organized at the Wamanrao Oke Blood Centre in Thane. The event will take place on Sunday, September 14, from 9 am to 5 pm at Hitvardhini Hall, Thane West.
The workshop will focus on diagnosis, treatment, and management of Thalassemia, along with spreading awareness in society. Senior doctors, pediatric specialists, gynecologists, hematologists, and social workers will share information. Patients living with Thalassemia and their families will also speak about their real-life experiences, making the event more meaningful.
The workshop will be inaugurated by District Civil Surgeon Dr. Kailas Pawar, and many well-known experts in child health, women’s health, and blood disorders will participate. The session is open to social workers and anyone interested in learning more.
