Traffic Jam Delays Ambulance; Woman Passes Away.
Congestion on Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway Proves Fatal.
A woman lost her life after the ambulance she was in got stuck in a severe traffic jam at Gaymukh, Bhiwandi. The incident has once again highlighted the persistent traffic issues on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway.
The deceased, identified as Dhaya Purav from Saphale in Palghar district, was returning from her native village. While pruning trees near her home, a falling branch had caused her serious injuries. She was initially treated locally but later referred to a hospital in Mahim, Mumbai.
On the way, heavy traffic due to ongoing road construction near Ghodbunder caused significant delays. The ambulance carrying Dhaya Purav had to wait much longer than expected, despite the hospital being just 100 kilometers away. Unfortunately, her condition worsened, and she breathed her last before reaching the hospital.
The tragic incident has sparked fresh concerns over the impact of prolonged traffic congestion on emergency medical services.
