Thane Municipal Corporation Revenue Crosses 650 Crore
The Urban Development Department has contributed an additional 2 crore to the Thane Municipal Corporation’s budget, bringing the total revenue to 652 crore.
Over the past three years, it has been evident that the Urban Development Department has been a major source of income for the corporation. The department performed exceptionally well through various channels, including new housing projects in the city, Additional FSI Premium, property tax, construction worker welfare cess, and security deposits.
Growth in the construction sector, increased use of FSI, and strictness in tax collection have boosted revenue. The Urban Development Department expressed confidence that this fund will accelerate the development of the city’s infrastructure and civic services.
