School Bus Rules to be Strictly Enforced, Parents to be Penalized for Non-Compliance.
New Guidelines Issued by Transport Minister to Ensure Student Safety.
In a bid to enhance student safety, the Transport Ministry has announced stricter regulations for school buses. Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik stated that schools failing to adhere to these guidelines will face penalties, including a 10-month blackout of their bus services.
The new rules mandate that school buses must be equipped with advanced safety features such as GPS, CCTV cameras, and speed governors. Additionally, buses are required to have a female attendant on board and ensure that the driver’s speed is monitored.
The Ministry has warned that parents who violate these rules will face penalties. The decision was made during a meeting attended by senior transport officials. The new regulations aim to reduce the number of accidents involving school buses and ensure a safer commute for students. The Ministry has urged parents to cooperate in implementing these rules to prevent any inconvenience.
