From Nature’s Farms to Thane Homes: Herbal Fair Attracts Huge Crowd.

Medicinal and natural crops grown using organic methods in the hilly and forest regions of the district were showcased at a special festival held at B.N. High School grounds in Thane. The event saw enthusiastic participation from citizens.

The festival was part of the Maharashtra State Rural Livelihood Campaign and organized by the Thane District Administration. The event also served as a preparation for the upcoming Ranbhajya Mahotsav 2025-26.

Over 50 stalls were set up by 100 self-help groups from different parts of the district. Locally grown and prepared herbal vegetables and products were displayed and sold. The highlight was the energetic involvement of women participants.

Vegetables like Aadha, Shevla, Kurkurya Bhaji, Bharang, Mayalu, Kavathakoli, Phodshi, Dinda Bhaji, Kartoli, Takla, Shevga were featured and attracted large crowds.
