Early Detection of Cancer: A Crucial Step in Saving Lives.
A health camp was organized in the Kalyan-Mirawada region of Thane district, where 2443 citizens underwent cancer screening. Out of these, 32 suspected cancer patients were identified and referred to medical facilities for further treatment.
The district health authorities, under the guidance of Dr. Shrikrishna Pawar and District Health Officer Rohan Ghuge, conducted the health camp. The screening revealed that eight patients had confirmed cancer, with 18 having breast cancer and others having different types of cancer.
The health authorities have emphasized the importance of early detection in cancer treatment. They have assured that the necessary facilities for diagnosis and treatment are available at various medical institutions. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups and screening for cancer.
