Threading a Brighter Future: New Machines for Students at ITI

The Rotary Club of Thane has renovated the tailoring department of the Ramabai Ambedkar Government Industrial Training Institute for girls in Dadar, Mumbai. Ashida Electronic funded this project through their Corporate Social Responsibility funds. The tailoring department has received 20 sewing machines.

In addition to the machines, new cabling and electrical boards have been installed. A total of 7,23,000 rupees was spent on the project. Currently, 433 students are undergoing various types of training at the institute. The tailoring department trains 100 students throughout the year.

During the ceremony, rotary officials and Ashida Electronics executives presented certificates to students who excelled in various competitions. Rotary officials assured that further assistance would be provided to the institute in the future as needed. They also stated that campus interviews will be organised for the trainees at the institute.
