Registration Begins for Welfare Scheme for Auto and Taxi Drivers

The Maharashtra government has launched an initiative for the welfare of autorickshaw and taxi drivers. A new organization named Dharmaveer Anand Dighe Saheb Maharashtra Auto Rickshaw and Metered Taxi Driver Welfare Mandal has been established in Mumbai to support drivers across the state.

The government has made online registration available for drivers who wish to become members of this welfare body. The registration fee and membership charges have been fixed by the state-level committee. Currently, the registration and application fee together is ₹500, and the annual membership renewal fee is ₹300. Payment of this fee is mandatory.

Registration can be done online through the official website: https://ananddighekalyankarimandal.org. Both autorickshaw and metered taxi drivers can fill out the application forms via this link.

The website also provides step-by-step instructions for submitting the application and necessary documents. Deputy Regional Transport Officer Atul Barukha (Kalyan) shared that the initiative aims to offer long-term benefits and support to drivers through this new welfare body.
