Rajan Vichare Slams Delays in Thane Railway and SATIS Projects

July 29 – Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former MP Rajan Vichare has criticized the delays in several important development projects in Thane, including the new railway station and the SATIS (Station Area Traffic Improvement Scheme) project. He blamed the ruling Shinde group for not prioritizing development and accused current MPs of neglect.

Vichare visited the SATIS project site near the old Kopri bridge on Monday to check the progress of girder installation. The work to place five girders of 4.5 meters each started recently and is part of a plan to ease traffic by connecting two bridges and creating a 2.24 km long elevated road. The project is expected to be completed by September.

He pointed out that no current elected representative had reviewed the site or taken updates. He also targeted MP Naresh Mhaske, saying he was more focused on photo sessions than real work. The SATIS-2 project was approved in 2018 under the Smart City Mission and began in 2022 after delays due to railway permissions.
