Rotary Club of Thane City: From Awareness to Action

Environmental and Sapling Awareness- On August 24, 2025, the Rotary Clubs of Thane City and Thane Amigo partnered with the environmental NGO “Hariyali” for a climate awareness and sapling-making workshop. Guided by Hariyali experts on climate change and tree maintenance, members successfully created 95 saplings. The productive session concluded with a birthday celebration and fellowship.

Career Guidance and Skill Development Workshop- On September 12, 2025, a highly interactive career guidance workshop was held at K.G. Joshi College of Arts & N.G. Bedekar College of Commerce, drawing over 225 students alongside HODs and faculty. The practical skill-building session received widespread appreciation and was followed by the club leadership honouring five outstanding educators with the Nation Builder Award.

Job Fair- As part of the District’s Service Month initiative on November 15, 2025, Rotary Thane Zone 10 clubs, led by RC Thane, organised a highly impactful job fair. The event featured 27 companies from diverse sectors, attracting 125 candidates and resulting in the selection or shortlisting of 24 individuals.

Blood Donation- On December 6, 2025, RC Thane City led the Rotary clubs of Zone 10 to host a successful blood donation camp in collaboration with the NSS Unit of Devram Laxman Bhoir Degree College, drawing 36 donors.

Interactive Session with Underprivileged Girls- On International Women’s Day (March 8, 2026), RC Thane City hosted an interactive session on “Personal Hygiene” and “Good Touch, Bad Touch” for over 35 underprivileged girls at Jeevan Samvardhan, Thane. Led by speaker Dr Supriya Lad Kasat, the highly engaging and educational discussion saw enthusiastic participation from all the children.
