Metro Line 11 Approval Boosts Connectivity for Thane Residents
Thane: The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited’s Metro Line 11 has received approval from the state cabinet. With a 16 km elevated route from Wadala Depot to Ghatkopar, this metro line will make it easier for people from Thane to travel to south Mumbai via Metro Line 4.

This will reduce congestion on the central railway as an alternative travel option opens up. The line is expected to ease travel for lakhs of commuters who use the central railway daily. Metro Line 4 (Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane-Kasarvadavali) is planned to be completed by September this year. The state cabinet has given clearance to the elevated Metro Line 11 project, which will connect Wadala Depot to Ghatkopar.

By making travel to south Mumbai easier for Thane residents, Metro Line 11 will help reduce strain on the central railway.
