Thane East Center Nears Completion, Inauguration Soon.

Ahead of the municipal elections, Thane Municipal Corporation is preparing to open the new Thane East Center. Nearly 80% of the work is complete, including the flyover that will connect Kopri Bridge to Thane station.

Built under the Smart City project, the center aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve connectivity. It will include a large parking area, bus bays, skywalks, and better pedestrian access.

The ₹298 crore project covers a 1.475 km elevated road, 4,000 sq. meters of parking, and a 7,000 sq. meter bus terminal. Officials believe the new infrastructure will greatly benefit daily commuters and bring relief to Thane’s growing traffic issues.
