Students and Parents Join Hands for Native Tree Plantation
Tree plantation drive held under ‘Cleanliness and Health’ campaign in Navi Mumbai
As part of the “Adopt Cleanliness, Stay Healthy” campaign, students and parents came together to plant native trees at various schools. At schools number 108 and 79, around 140 native trees were planted with full participation from parents and students.
Tree species like neem, arjun, amla, karanj, and jamun were planted under the guidance of the Education Department. Plantations were carried out in areas like Indraprastha, Vishnunagar, Pandit Nagar, and Tekdivar.
At Juhupada, the Punardhar Foundation planted 75 native trees with the help of its members. Similarly, on Patni Road in Green World Smart City, school officials, staff, and local residents joined in planting 25 native trees.
In Koparkhairane, students of school number 38 also actively participated in tree plantation activities. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental conservation and involve the community in creating a greener future.
