Permission Mandatory for Carrying Construction Material.

Yeoor falls under an eco-sensitive zone. The Thane Municipal Corporation’s Urban Development Department has announced that no construction material will be allowed into Yeoor without proper permission. Those with valid permits must provide detailed information about the material, vehicle, and drivers at the forest department checkpoint.

Officials have been instructed to maintain strict monitoring. Anyone attempting to transport construction materials without authorization will face immediate action.

A meeting was recently held under the leadership of Additional Municipal Commissioner Aaditya Thackeray, with representatives from various departments, police, forest officials, and local authorities. Discussions focused on controlling illegal activities in Yeoor and protecting its environment.

Forest officers, environmentalists, and city planners stressed the importance of preserving Yeoor’s biodiversity. Following the directives of the High Court, action against illegal construction has already begun.

Municipal officials have urged citizens to cooperate in safeguarding Yeoor’s ecological balance.
