Green Hearts, Helping Hands: Lions Club of Thane

The Lions Club of Thane, Pokhran, has been consistently working towards conservation and implementing various initiatives to protect and preserve the environment.

Recently the club, under the leadership of club President, Cyril Soares, planted saplings for a tree plantation drive within the premises of the Holy Trinity School. This is helping create environmental awareness in society and building a green and secure environment for the future.

The club regularly distributes freshly cooked meals to needy and marginalised citizens across various parts of  Thane. On December 23, 2025, the club distributed 100 food packets to homeless individuals residing under flyovers in Thane,  reflecting strong commitment to extending a helping hand and uplifting sections of society that need it the most.

The aim of the club is to create a lasting positive impact on both the local environment and the lives of Thane’s most vulnerable citizens
