Abhyudaya Bank outclass Voltas in the 48th Thanevaibhav Inter Office Cricket Tournament 

Abhyudaya Bank successfully defended 216 runs against Voltas at Central Maidan on Friday in the 48th Thanevaibhav Cricket Tournament.

 

Batting first, Abhyudaya Bank posted 216 runs in 35 overs, riding on a fluent half century from Sachin Tembhe (53 runs from 39 balls). Opening batter Rajesh Vichare (34 runs from 53 balls) provided a steady start with Jalinder Lalge (29 runs from 27 balls) making a useful contribution lower down the order. On the other hand, for Voltas, Kashif Ajaz and Shishir Mahadik were the most successful bowlers with two wickets each.

In reply, Voltas Could only manage to score 128 as they were bundled out in 21.5 overs, losing the match by 88 runs. Sanjog Patil and Sanju Raut wreaked havoc with the ball as they scalped four and three wickets respectively. Besides Amit Satpute (22 runs from 30 balls), Ajaz (58 runs from 34 balls), and Azhar Khan (20 runs from 29 balls), who were the top three batters of Voltas, none of the others could score in double digits.
