Janata Darbar’ to Act Against Shops Cheating on Weights and Prices.

To stop shops from cheating customers with false weights and overcharging, the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department in Thane has started a special ‘Janata Darbar’.

This is the first time such an event is being organized, especially focusing on issues faced by women customers. It will allow them to report their complaints about being cheated while buying goods.

The event will be held on Tuesday, August 6, at 12 noon at the district office in Thane.

During the Janata Darbar, complaints related to cheating in weight, incorrect rates, tampering with measuring instruments, sale of substandard products, and overpricing will be heard. Officials will provide immediate help and take strict action if needed.
