Dispute Over Digital Payment Led to Argument and Assault.
A 28-year-old woman was allegedly abused and assaulted by an auto driver near Mira Road station on May 10 after she insisted on paying the fare digitally. She offered to pay Rs 51 fare online, but the driver demanded cash. The woman had only Rs 45 in cash and paid it. The driver got angry, verbally abused her, and pushed her out of the vehicle. She filed a complaint at Naya Nagar Police Station, and the driver was arrested.
