Waterlogging disrupts traffic, trees fall in multiple areas
Continuous heavy rainfall on Sunday disrupted life in Thane. Several roads, including parts of Ghodbunder Road and Wagle Estate, were waterlogged, causing major traffic jams. The fire brigade reported tree falls in two areas—Naupada and Vartak Nagar. Civic officials were on alert and worked to clear blocked drains. Though no casualties were reported, people faced severe inconvenience due to water entering low-lying homes and shops. Authorities have advised citizens to stay cautious and avoid unnecessary travel.
