Political Row Erupts Over Thane’s “Toilet-Side” Clinic

TMC Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao admits the “health container” clinic in Sant Dnyaneshwar Nagar was wrongly placed. Following protests by Shiv Sena (UBT) and BJP workers, the administration promises a site inspection and a potential park.

The Commissioner stated that a health center should be located in a clean area accessible to everyone. The delegation, which included Sub-Division Head Amol Hinge, Sachin Ghatwal, Former Corporator Sanjay Dalvi, Mahesh Kadam, Pratik Rane, and BJP’s Bhushan Patil, suggested alternative sites. A proposal to renovate the park into a ‘Nana-Nani’ park has already been submitted. They demanded the container be moved immediately to make way for a well-equipped garden.
