Man Arrested for Aiding Terrorists in Pahalgam Attack
In a significant breakthrough, police have arrested a man accused of assisting Pakistani terrorists involved in the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Yusuf Kataria, a resident of South Kashmir. Police said he provided support to Lashkar-e-Taiba (TRF) terrorists on April 22. He was produced before court and has been remanded to judicial custody.
According to officials, Kataria played a crucial role in facilitating the movement and shelter of militants. He is also accused of aiding those responsible for the Baisaran Valley massacre, in which 26 people were killed. His arrest followed the analysis of weapons and materials seized during Operation Mahadev.
“This marks a major success in the crackdown against terror networks in South Kashmir,” police officials said. Investigations are underway to trace Kataria’s associates and dismantle the wider Lashkar-linked terror module.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to eliminating terrorist networks and restoring peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
