Health Center ‘Overnight’ Replaces Nana-Nani Park in Thane

UBT party Corporator Shahaji Khuspe, from Ward No. 13, had submitted a proposal to the administration for the renovation of the Nana-Nani Park in Thane. However, instead of carrying out repairs, the administration has overnight hatched a plan to build a Health Center on the site of the park. The ruling party is facing allegations of making a political move with this decision.

Residents are questioning why this plan for a health center was rushed through in a single night, especially when there is no proper road to access the proposed site. The park is in a state of extreme neglect and needs to be renovated to be usable for the citizens again.

There are strong rumors in the municipal corridors that a senior Shiv Sena leader from the mayor’s office directed the Health Department to set up this center.
