Maharashtra Police Recruitment: No Extra Chance for Age-Limit Overstep Candidates

The Maharashtra government has announced a recruitment drive for about 15,000 positions in the state police force. The recruitment process will consider vacancies for 2024 and those expected in 2025. As per a government decision released by the Home Department on September 10, 2025, candidates who prepared for the recruitment and were within the age limit between 2022 and 2025 will be eligible to apply.

Candidates will be able to submit their applications for the recruitment process. The Home Department of the Maharashtra government has issued a clarification letter regarding this. Candidates who had crossed the age limit will not get an additional opportunity. Many organizations and students had been demanding the recruitment for the past 2-3 years. Now, the recruitment process has begun, and candidates who overstepped the age limit will not be given an extra chance by the government.
