“Dastangoi” on Shivranjani’s Stage on September 14.

A unique event, “Dastangoi,” is coming to Dr. Kashinath Ghane’s auditorium at Shivranjani Entertainment on September 14 at 8:30 PM. Organized by Triveni Music, this is the eighth event in their series.

Dastangoi is an ancient Urdu storytelling art where stories are narrated through acting, reading, and performance. Mahmood Faruki and his team will present this colorful show with elements of courage, information, and fantasy. The stage will be dimly lit, and storytelling will happen under spotlights, based on stories by renowned Urdu writer and journalist Sadaat Hasan Manto.
