Career Guidance Program in 25 Colleges Across Mumbai Region

A career guidance initiative was launched across 25 colleges in Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar by Pehal Foundation. The program aims to help students make informed career choices after class 12. Over 35,000 students are expected to benefit from this awareness drive. Expert speakers from fields like engineering, medicine, law, defense, journalism, and commerce were invited to interact with students and explain over 200 career options in simple language. The sessions included personal mentoring, motivational talks, and tips for exams and interviews. Many students feel stressed or lost while choosing a career path. This program hopes to reduce that stress and help them plan a better future. Special focus was given to students from underprivileged backgrounds. The event also covered trending careers in digital marketing, AI, data science, and environmental sciences. Organizers said career awareness and decision-making skills should be encouraged from an early age. College principals and staff supported the event fully. Students were happy to receive personalized advice. Many said such programs should happen more often. This career guidance drive is seen as a step towards preparing confident, goal-oriented youth who can contribute to society effectively in the future.
