Bangla tigresses take on England lionesses

Match number 8 of the 13th edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup will be played between Bangladesh and England at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Both these teams have started their World Cup campaign with a win. While  Bangladesh handed a defeat to Pakistan by seven wickets, the four-time champions England beat South Africa by 10 wickets.

Players to watch out
Marufa Akter: The right arm seamer of Bangladesh won the player of the match award in her last match against Pakistan. Opening the bowling, she struck twice in the first over of the match. Her role with the new ball will be crucial for Bangladesh as the team will want to pick early wickets.
Rubya Haider: On ODI debut, the left-handed opening batter sparkled with a well constructed half century. She scored an unbeaten 54 from 77 balls against Pakistan. Her innings was studded with eight fours.
Linsey Smith: The left arm spinner from England was the pick of the bowlers in her last outing against South Africa. She bowled exceedingly well with the new ball and scalped three wickets for just seven runs in four overs, including two maidens.
Amy Jones: The wicket-keeper and right-handed opening batter of England top scored in the match against South Africa with 40 runs from 50 balls, including half a dozen fours.
