Thane Clinic Found Without Doctors or Nurses

A government health clinic in Thane was found operating without any doctors, nurses, or basic staff. This issue was highlighted by former corporator Narayan Pawar. The clinic was started under a state health mission and aimed to provide free treatment to underprivileged citizens. However, due to staff shortages, patients are returning home without receiving any treatment. Locals have raised concerns and said that the clinic has been shut for weeks now. The building remains locked most of the time, and no medical services are available. Pawar has written to health department officials demanding immediate staff appointments and action. He stressed that the government has spent public money to set up this clinic, but without doctors and nurses, the facility is useless. Residents from nearby slums and middle-class areas had hoped this clinic would offer affordable and quick treatment. Officials said they would investigate and take corrective steps. This incident highlights the growing problem of poorly managed public health centers. Locals are now requesting the state government to ensure that all health facilities have full-time staff so that people can get the medical help they need on time.
