India eye first-ever women’s T20I series win over England
India Women and England Women meet after 2023 to play a bilateral T20I series. In 2023, it was England that clinched the T20I series 2-1 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Interestingly, India Women have never won a T20I bilateral series against England. Fast forward to 2025, the two teams will lock horns against each other in a five-match T20I series starting from June 28 in England.

Alice Capsey: The young and promising all-rounder of England has already proved her mettle at the highest level. The 20-year-old has played 41 T20Is, scored 711 runs, and has six wickets to her name. She is a right-handed top-order batter and a right-arm off spinner.
Smriti Mandhana: The vice captain of India is the second highest run getter in women’s T20Is. With 3761 runs in 142 T20I innings, she will be expected to provide a solid start to team India with the bat.
Richa Ghosh: India’s wicket-keeper-batter is one of the most dangerous finishers in women’s T20Is. Closing in on 1000 T20I runs, the right-handed dasher bats at a blistering strike rate of 142.
