Asian giants SL and PAK set to lit Sharjah on Oct 3
The second match of the ninth edition of the ICC Women’s World T20 will be played between two Asian giants, Sri Lanka and Pakistan on October 3 in Sharjah. Sri Lanka and Pakistan are placed in Group A alongside India, Australia, and New Zealand.

Players to watch out
Chamari Athapaththu: The Sri Lankan captain, who is a left-handed opening batter and a right-arm off spinner, is one of the best all-rounders in the side. She has over 3000 T20I runs and 50 T20I wickets in her illustrious international career of 15 years.
Inoka Ranaweera: The wily left-arm spinner of Sri Lanka is the most successful T20I bowler of her side with 91 wickets in 82 matches. She bowls at an economy of under six runs per over.
Muneeba Ali: The stylish left-handed batter of Pakistan has more than 1000 T20I runs under her belt. She is the only centurion in women’s T20Is for Pakistan. Besides, she contributes as a wicket-keeper.
Nida Dar: This Pakistani all-rounder has a wealth of experience having featured in over 150 T20Is. She has snapped 143 wickets and scored 2021 runs. She is a genuine match winner.
