Toll hike at five Mumbai entry points from October 1
From October 1, the toll rates at the five entry points of Mumbai are expected to rise between 12.5% and 18.75%. The five entry points are Dahisar, LBS Road–Mulund, Eastern Express Highway- Mulund, Airoli Creek Bridge, and Vashi.
The last revision in toll charges took place in 2020. The current updated rates, effective this year, will extend until 2026. A typical increment in toll charges occurs every three years.
The revised toll charges are:
- Cars/jeeps – from ₹40 to ₹45
- Light motor vehicles/tempos – from ₹65 to ₹75
- Buses/trucks – from ₹130 to ₹150
- Multi-axle vehicles – from ₹160 to ₹190
In response to these forthcoming changes, the MNS Thane unit, led by President Avinash Jadhav, protested on the Eastern Express highway against toll hike at Mumbai entry points on Saturday.
