Dr. Jadhao explains, “There are two patterns of hair loss; male and female. In the case of males, hair loss ultimately results in baldness. As men grow older, problems of hair loss increases. It is most of the time, genetic. Besides, the excess formation of 5- dihydroxytestosterone can affect hair growth. This hormone reduces size of hair follicles by reducing blood circulation and micro nutrients to the hair’s roots. Lifestyle issues like smoking, diabetes, etc. and environmental problems like water can also result in hair loss. On the other hand, hair loss seen in females is due to haemoglobin vit D3 , vit B12 , calcium deficiency, thyroid, and other hormonal issues. Many women suffer from hair loss after pregnancy or during breastfeeding due to nutrition deficiency.”

Being vigilant is the key. If there is a noticeable change in your hairline or a regular increase in hair fall day by day, visiting a hair doctor is necessary. Dr. Jadhao mentions, “For men with a family history of baldness, visiting a hair doctor after completing the age of 20 is recommended. Usually, hair loss starts during that age. He adds, “In case of hair transplant, the doctor and patient must show a lot of patience. In hair transplant surgery, the doctor takes one hair at a time from the donor area to the bald area. A minimum of six hours long is the surgery. Local anaesthesia is given to the patient. After the surgery, it can take up to six to seven months for the hair to grow. During this period, the patient needs to show patience.”

Over the years, Dr. Jadhao and his team have treated thousands of patients. He recalls, “There have been many cases when the patients had lost confidence because of their hair. We could give them back their lost confidence by doing a hair transplant. I remember treating one male patient who was well-educated, but only because he was bald, he was getting rejected for marriage. He came to us, and we did a hair transplant. Around seven months after the surgery, his marriage got fixed. You won’t believe, on his wedding invite, he had printed my photo along with that of God.” This case is just a drop in the ocean, as Dr. Jadhao has been a blessing for many through his effective hair treatments.
