Thane Housing Relief

The Property Department of the Thane Municipal Corporation had issued notices to residents living in rental buildings in some areas to vacate their homes by April 7.

In response, Hanumant Jagdale, in a meeting held today, issued instructions to:

• Provide permanent housing for citizens affected by road widening, canal-related projects, and the Cluster Development Scheme.
• Provide rental housing at a rate of 2,000 rupees for residents of unauthorised, dangerous buildings and those affected by the Cluster Scheme who are not eligible for immediate permanent housing.

Pawan Kadam, Ram Repale, Dilip Bartakke, Yogesh Jankar, Namrata Bhosle, and various other officials and corporators attended the meeting.
