Smash to Summer: Badminton Coaching Returns to Thane

The 35th annual summer coaching camp has been held at Dadaji Kondev Stadium’s Khandu Rangnekar Hall under the Syed Modi Badminton Coaching Scheme of the Thane Municipal Corporation and the Thane City and District Badminton Association. This academy has produced many players at the state, national, and international levels over the years by continuously offering top-notch instruction. Notable accomplishments include more than 35 international players, 15 Shiv Chatrapati Award winners, and more than 150 state winners.

Experts, past international players, and experienced coaches are present during the camp. Training emphasises technical skills, physical fitness, and the psychology of the sport.

The camp is divided into three main batches:

Basic Camp 1- April 19 – May 9, 2026

Basic Camp 2- May 11 – May 30, 2026 

Advance Batch – April 19 – May 30, 2026

Daily sessions from Monday to Saturday will be conducted for 4 hours, tailored for beginners to advanced players.

To apply, interested individuals can visit the Badminton Hall directly between 9 am and 12 pm or 6 pm and 9 pm.
