The issues were discussed during a meeting chaired by District Collector Dr. Shrikant Panchal at the district collector’s office. Representatives from industrial companies and associations interacted with officials.
Key issues highlighted include:
– Irregular power cuts causing losses to industries.
– Unannounced water cuts lead to operational difficulties.
– Traffic congestion on roads like Road No. 26 in the Wagle Estate affects movement.
– Issues with drainage of rainwater.
Officials from various departments including the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) were present. The Thane Small Scale Industries Association pointed out problems with irregular water supply from the Tansa and Bhatsa rivers.
The industries have requested the administration to address these issues to minimize operational difficulties.
