Shiv Sena (UBT) Holds Workers’ Meet and Mass Induction in Vashind
Over 200 local leaders and activists join party ahead of ZP, Panchayat elections.
The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction organized a workers’ gathering and mass induction ceremony on Saturday, September 20, at Sanai Lawns, Khativali. The event saw the entry of around 225–250 political and social activists, including former Panchayat Samiti member Chetan Jadhav and social worker Siddhi Jadhav, along with several village heads, members, and women activists.
The program was held with the upcoming Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections in mind. It was coordinated with the efforts of Shiv Sena taluka office-bearer Dattatray Thackeray, Khativali-Vashind Cooperative Society chairman Vilas Patil, and local social worker Chintaman Vasudev Jadhav. Leaders such as Raghunath Masne (newly appointed Vashind Rural Chief) and Ananta Bhoir (Khativali Division Chief) also played key roles in mobilizing support.
Prominent social leaders who joined included Sanjay Bhor from Katbav-Dahagaon, former sarpanch Suresh Pawar, Nandakumar Soshte from Vehloli, and BJP worker Gurunath Balu Bhoir. Newly inducted members were also handed appointment letters for various responsibilities.
The program was attended by senior Shiv Sena leaders including Deputy Leader Vishwas Thale, Thane District Chief Kedar Dighe, Rural District Chief Kundan Patil, Deputy Chief Shankar Khade, Women’s Wing Organizer Rashmi Nimse, and other district-level leaders.
