Light showers expected in Thane over the weekend: IMD

After a day of significant rain in Thane, Friday reported clear skies once again. IMD has forecast a reduction in rain activity over the weekend and only a probability of light to moderate rain for Thane. On Thursday, Thane received 70.35mm rainfall. Meanwhile, rainfall in the seven lakes which supply to Mumbai and neighbouring areas is yet to pick momentum. Owing to Thursday’s rain, only two smaller lakes, Vihar and Tulsi, witnessed miniscule rise in their water levels. On Thursday, the rain reported in Vihar lake was 61mm and Tulsi lake 54mm.
