Rotary Club of Thane Vartak Nagar: Multi-Sector Welfare Drives
The Rotary Club of Thane Vartak Nagar, led by Club President Vishal Thombare, has successfully executed a series of impactful infrastructure, health, and educational projects across the region.
Pathway to Safety Project
In urban development, the club implemented a “Pathway to Safety” project at the Dosti Vihar premises to prevent accidents among senior citizens and children. The project included repairing damaged stretches, improving speed breakers, and creating safer road divisions to ensure smooth and secure movement within the premises. The inauguration ceremony was graciously conducted by DG Harsh Makol along with AG Madhu Menon, DS Meenal Savashe, and President Vishal Thombare.

CPR- Stroke Management
The venue also hosted a Mega Health Camp in association with Nector Hospital, providing free specialist consultations, diagnostic screenings, and hands-on CPR training to over 100 residents. The event aimed to promote health awareness and provide free medical check-ups for the community. The health camp featured expert talks on stroke awareness by renowned Neurologists Dr Nikhil Kadam and Dr Vyankatesh Bolegave.

Sanitation Project
Expanding its reach to rural and underprivileged areas, the club completed a critical Sanitation & Hygiene Project by constructing five toilets at the Vivekananda Ashram in the Yeoor hills. Prior to the project, the children faced several hygiene-related challenges due to inadequate sanitation infrastructure, affecting their health, comfort, and daily routine.

Project Jeevandhara
In Khalapur District, “Project Jeevandhara” resolved a severe water crisis in Beedkhurd Village by installing a 680-meter pipeline network. The ₹9.5 lakh initiative successfully upgraded water delivery from once every four days to a daily supply, benefiting 640 villagers. Rotarians, volunteers, and local residents actively participated in making the project a successful and impactful rural development initiative.

Walvanda Adivasi School Support Project
The club supported tribal education at the Walvanda Adivasi School in Palghar. As part of the initiative, around 2000 units of stationery items including pens, notebooks, and books were donated to the students. The contribution is expected to have a positive and meaningful impact on the students by helping them continue their education with better resources and motivation.

These programs demonstrate Rotary Club of Thane Vartak Nagar’s continued dedication to long-term community welfare, health, and educational empowerment.
