Kalyan Public Library Wins State’s Best Library Award.

The Kalyan Public Library has been honored with the prestigious Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Best Library Award for 2023-24 by the Maharashtra government. This recognition was given for its outstanding contribution to the development of library services and promotion of reading culture in the state.

The award was presented by the Higher and Technical Education Department under the Ministry of Education. The library has been serving the community for 162 years and has been consistently providing high-quality services to its patrons.

The award consists of a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, a trophy, and a certificate. The award was presented by the Minister of Higher Education, Chandrakant Patil, in the presence of other dignitaries.
