Players to watch out
Grace Harris: The dashing Australian all-rounder, who plays for the UP Warriorz, bagged the player of the match award in her last match against Gujarat Giants. She played a match-winning innings of 60 not out from 33 balls, including nine fours and two sixes. She also bowled three overs of off-spin and conceded 21 runs.
Sophie Ecclestone: The world’s number one T20I bowler was the most successful for UP Warriorz in their last outing against Gujarat Giants. The left-arm spinner claimed 3/20 in four overs. It was her best bowling figure in the four matches she had played in this competition.
Ellyse Perry: Despite not being a 100% fit, the Australian all-rounder top-scored for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last match against Mumbai Indians. Batting at number four, she mustered an unbeaten 44 from 38 balls, including five fours. She also bowled two overs of right-arm medium pace and gave away just 10 runs.
Smriti Mandhana: The captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore is the leading run-scorer for her team in the tournament so far. She has scored 139 runs in four matches, including the best of 74. This left-handed opening batter will be expected to give a flying start to her team.
Pitch
The pitch will be slower as it has undergone a lot of wear and tear over the last 10 days. The ball may hold a bit to the surface and not come onto the bat easily, making run-scoring difficult, especially in the first innings. However, batting second has been easier right through the tournament, which hints that the pitch eases out in the latter half of the match, allowing the ball to come onto the bat nicely.
Weather
A cloud cover of 41% heralds partly cloudy conditions in the evening. Humidity will be 34%, and the temperatures could be around 24 degrees Celsius. There is no chance of rain.
