Players to watch out
Phobe Litchfield: This left-handed middle-order batter of Gujarat Giants top scored with 35 runs from 26 balls in the last match against UP Warriorz. She smashed four fours and a six in her well-paced innings. In the process, she stitched a 52-run partnership with Ashleigh Gardner for the fourth wicket.
Laura Wolvaardt: The right-handed opening batter from South Africa played her first match this season for Gujarat Giants. She mustered 28 runs from 26 balls, including four fours, and provided a steady start to her team with the bat. She combined forces with her opening partner and captain, Beth Mooney, to put together 40 runs in 5.2 overs.
Shafali Verma: The right-handed opening batter of Delhi Capitals has struck back-to-back half-centuries in her last two matches. After missing out on scoring big in the first match, the 20-year-old has bounced back stronger.
Marizanne Kapp: In her three outings in the tournament, she has won the player of the match award twice. She has been exceptional with bat and ball. This right-handed middle-order batter has muscled 48 runs in two innings and scalped six wickets in three innings.
Pitch
The conditions look good for an exciting contest between bat and ball. Expect sluggishness in the pitch, as it will be a used surface. Scoring runs may not be as easy as it was in the early days of the tournament. However, as has been the case so far, batting in the second innings looks easier.
Weather
With a cloud cover of 28%, it will be partly cloudy in the evening. The temperature will be about 25 degrees Celsius. There is a 1% chance of rain. Humidity will be around 36%.
