Players to watch out for

Suryakumar Yadav: India’s right-handed batter is the world number one T20I batter. He may not have had the best of outings in the recently concluded 50-over World Cup but cometh the T20Is, he plays as if he is cut from a different cloth. In his 53 T20Is, he has muscled 1841 runs at a strike rate of 173.

Arshdeep Singh: The left-arm speedster of India is an excellent new ball bowler in the T20Is. He is equally effective in the death overs. Though he made his T20I debut last year, he has punched above his weight with 54 wickets in 36 matches.

Glenn Maxwell: The star Australian all-rounder was the vital cog in Australia’s success in the recently held World Cup. Switching to T20 mode, Maxwell will fancy his chances as this format suits his attacking brand of cricket the best. Over the last 10 years, he has plundered 2159 runs in 98 T20Is at a strike rate of 151. He also has 39 wickets in 66 T20I innings.

Adam Zampa: The wily leg spinner of Australia had a fantastic outing in the World Cup as he picked 23 wickets and was the second highest wicket taker. He will take a lot of confidence from his success playing in the Indian conditions. With 82 wickets in 73 matches, he is Australia’s most successful T20I bowler.

Pitch

Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam will host the encounter between India and Australia. The venue has hosted three T20Is, with teams batting second winning two of them. Australia have played here in 2019 and in that match they won by three wickets chasing 127. The highest total scored here is 179 and the lowest is 82. Expect a fresh pitch that could offer assistance to batters. However, cloudy and rainy conditions could favour the fast bowlers.

Weather

The weather is expected to be humid with a couple of showers in the afternoon. The maximum temperature attained during the day will be 29 Degrees Celsius. There is a 60% chance of rain. Cloud cover will be 47%. The winds will blow from the east-northeast.
