Will India seek revenge of the Asia Cup loss against Sri Lanka?

The Asia Cup finalists of this year India and Sri Lanka meet again, this time in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on Wednesday in Dubai. Both teams need a win to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals. While India have registered one win in two matches, Sri Lanka, on the other hand, are still in search of their first win. India may go into this match with or without their regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who suffered a neck injury in the match against Pakistan.

Arundhati Reddy: This right-arm medium pacer of India won the player of the match award for her scintillating performance in the previous encounter against Pakistan. She claimed 3/19 in four overs.

Nilakshi Silva: This right-handed middle-order batter of Sri Lanka was the leading run scorer for her side in the previous game against Australia. She mustered an unbeaten 29 from 40 balls.

Chamari Athapaththu: The Sri Lankan captain has not yet scored big in this World Cup so far. This left-handed opening batter will be expected to shoulder the responsibility and lead her side from the front.
