Who will win the women’s ODI series? India or England?
The three-match ODI series between England Women and India Women is evenly poised as both teams have won one match apiece. While India won the first match by four wickets chasing 259, England bounced back in the second, to keep the series alive by securing an eight-wicket win in a rail curtailed 29-overs per side match.
With everything to play for in the third and final ODI of the series, England and India will meet on Tuesday at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street. Earlier in the month, India Women created history by beating England Women for the first time in a bilateral T20I series. Can India Women repeat the T20I heroics in ODIs as well to register their second straight ODI series win on English soil?
Head-to-Head
England and India have played 78 ODIs against each other, of which England have won 41 and India have won 35. In England, the head-to-head battle reads 25-10 in England’s favour.

Players to watch out
Natalie Sciver-Brunt: The captain of England has got off to starts in the first two ODIs against India. However, the right-handed batter has not been able to capitalise. With the series on the line, England will expect their skipper to lead from the front.
Sophie Ecclestone: The world number one ODI bowler has gone from strength to strength in the ODI series against India. This left arm spinner has claimed four wickets in two matches. Apart from being the most successful bowler for England, she has been the most economical (conceding just 3.81 runs per over).
Smriti Mandhana: This left-handed opening batter of India has shown some signs of brilliance in the first two ODIs against England. She has scored 28 and 42 in her two outings. However, India will want its vice-captain to rack up a big score and provide a solid start at the top of the order.
Sneh Rana: This right-arm off spinner of India has clearly been the standout bowler in the ODI series against England. She has snapped three wickets in two matches and has been the most economical (conceding just 3.31 runs per over) bowler in the tournament so far.
